Senior Engagement Manager, WWPS ProServe at Amazon Web Services. The ProServe team delivers complex cloud solution projects by combining technical expertise with strong project leadership to drive successful AWS-based implementations. The role bridges business requirements with technical solutions, facilitates technical discussions, and ensures alignment with customer outcomes using AWS frameworks such as Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework. The role requires effective communication to both technical and business audiences, with ongoing development of domain-specific expertise and relevant AWS certifications. As experience grows, the role leads increasingly complex technical projects, shapes cross-organizational technical strategies, and establishes best practices in the domain. Key job responsibilities
Leading and managing complex cloud migration and implementation projects Leveraging knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning Bridging business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating engineering discussions, and ensuring alignment with customer business outcomes Distilling customer needs into clear technical requirements and mapping them to business outcomes Decomposing complex technical problems into actionable, deliverable solutions Contributing to technical documentation and defining documentation standards Basic qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience 5+ years of experience in cloud computing Experience in project management of technical programs 5+ years of customer-facing, large-scale implementation consulting experience across multiple cross-functional teams, plus 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise IT projects following methodologies such as Agile and using tools like Confluence, Jira, etc., and source code management products Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph Preferred qualifications
AWS experience preferred Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate Strong understanding of AWS services, architectures, and best practices Experience applying AWS frameworks like Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework Proven ability to establish technical credibility with engineering teams and senior technical decision-makers Experience supporting National Security mission systems and the ability to represent AWS within the customer’s environment, driving discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management, and risk mitigation Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $238,900/year in our highest geographic market.
