Job Summary:
KIMC is seeking an Analyst – Investments to support the Equity and Credit teams, including the Value-Add, Affordable, and Credit strategies. The Analyst – Investments will support the underwriting process and assist with portfolio management demonstrating working knowledge in deal underwriting and financial modeling across all asset classes.
Job Responsibilities
: Underwriting and performing financial and comparable analyses on new deals as well as on existing investments. Potential deals include fee, joint venture, preferred equity, mezzanine, senior loan, note-on-note, and distressed investments across Value-Add, Affordable, and Credit strategies. Preparing Investment Memorandums presented to the Investment Committee for discussion of major capital transactions – primarily acquisitions, dispositions, refinancings, and leveraging of new and existing investments. Support the Investment Management Team in arranging financing on new and existing investments and subsequently onboarding and transitioning new acquisitions. Specific projects and other functions as required by the Investment Management Team. Qualifications & Competencies: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field preferred. 1-3 years of industry experience. Excel and Argus modeling proficiency. Ability to manage multiple tasks while delivering quality work product. Well-organized and detailed oriented with the highest degree of integrity, motivation and intellectual curiosity. Skilled in working across heavily matrixed organizations which requires significant collaboration skills. Strong presentation and communication skills – both oral and written. Ability to work in Irvine, CA office 5 days a week. Willingness to travel as needed. Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and disability coverage.
