Smurfit Westrock is looking for a vibration analyst to support the plant’s reliability program through condition monitoring and precision maintenance to ensure optimal equipment operation
This position is located onsite at the Fernandina Beach, FL Mill.
How You Will Impact Smurfit WestRock:
Collect vibration, ultrasound and thermographic information on pumps, fans, blowers, electrical motors, gearboxes, compressors, and conveyors
Predictive analysis of vibration, ultrasound, and thermographic information in order to correctly diagnose equipment defects.
Coordinate minor equipment adjustments to improve equipment performance.
Field troubleshooting equipment using phase analysis, stroboscope, thermography, and ultrasound
Maintain field installed condition monitoring equipment as required
Utilize plant CMMS system (JDE) to write work orders as needed.
Accurately and effectively generate, distribute, communicate, and maintain maintenance records and reports/findings related to role.
Maintain ongoing skills enhancement such as staying current with emerging technology, certifications, and expanding knowledge base with ongoing education
Assist in training and mentoring of new employees
What You Need to Succeed:
Cat I Certification (or higher) within last 10 years
Cat II certification within last 10 years - Preferred
5+ years of vibration analyst experience in an industrial environment.
Good understanding of machine operation and proven ability to troubleshoot equipment defects
Proven analysis and predictive skills
Experience utilizing other condition monitoring equipment (ultrasonic, thermography, etc.…)
Ability to work independently
Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Experience with Emerson AMS software and 2140 data collectors
Experience with JDE
Certifications in the use of other condition monitoring equipment (ultrasonic, thermography, etc…)
Experience with precision tools (for drive alignments and/or bearing installations).
