Billing Specialist
to join their finance team and help streamline billing processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. Position Overview
The
Billing Specialist
will be responsible for preparing, issuing, and reconciling invoices for customers, ensuring all billing information is accurate, complete, and compliant with company policies. This role will require strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and process accurate customer invoices based on purchase orders, contracts, and delivery confirmations.
Review manufacturing job data to ensure all billable items are captured correctly.
Maintain up-to-date billing records and ensure timely delivery of invoices to customers.
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes in a professional, timely manner.
Collaborate with operations, sales, and logistics teams to ensure proper documentation for billing.
Monitor accounts receivable and follow up with customers on overdue accounts when needed.
Assist in month-end closing and reporting processes for the finance department.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, industry regulations, and company policies.
Support process improvements to enhance billing accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications
Required: High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
2+ years of billing, invoicing, or accounts receivable experience (manufacturing or industrial setting strongly preferred).
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and billing/accounting software.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
Preferred: Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
Understanding of manufacturing workflows and cost structures.
