Position Specific Description

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, an ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and the resourcefulness to handle challenges. Experience with at least one (preferably more) of the following is preferred: REC sales/origination, grid-scale solar renewable electricity, natural gas, RNG. Experience selling products to Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Customers is preferred; strong existing C&I relationships are a plus.

Overview

Employees in this role will participate actively in team origination efforts in the commercial and industrial sectors for FPL. This position is responsible for developing customer relationships, as well as negotiating and executing transactions in Renewable Energy Credit (REC) products.

Qualify business targets using available customer information and sustainability decarbonization goals to evaluate the commercial potential

Identify high-value contacts at potential business targets

Develop strong relationships with contacts via outreach and in-person interactions which will require travel

Drive in-depth discussions with contacts to understand customer needs and match those to FPL product solutions

Understand the key factors in customer corporate decision-making regarding energy needs, including sustainability targets and resiliency goals

Navigate FPL’s internal organization, building relevant relationships with key subject matter experts in order to coordinate and enable successful transaction execution

Develop opportunities with significant commercial pote

Job Overview Job Duties & Responsibilities • Conduct conference calls with potential customers and front line originators to understand their needs

• Research public information about potential customers and/or competitors, analyze data, and formulate a summary and/or recommendation to present to the Origination team

• Produce origination CRM reports and perform overall CRM maintenance

• Prepare customer presentation materials

• Manage origination reporting needs to upper management

• Assist in the preparation of presentations to support approval of proposed transactions and obtain transaction approvals on a timely basis

• Coordinate efforts between several different groups within the organization such as Communications, IT, and Investor Relations

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
