Manager of Tax Accounting

Responsibilities:

Work with outside tax service providers. Check and approve tax returns from external providers, making sure they're filed on time and K-1s are delivered. Oversee the entire tax compliance process, ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines. Be the main contact for external tax advisors, consultants, auditors, and fund administrators. Collaborate with internal and external teams to properly document and apply tax policies across all funds. Create and maintain tax documents, policies, and reports. Keep up-to-date on tax law changes and understand how they affect fund operations. Help with investor questions and requests. Guide and assign tasks to junior team members. Your Background Should Include:

A Bachelor\'s degree in accounting or finance, or similar. Fund tax accounting experience, including managing staff and working with outside service providers. Experience reviewing partnership agreements, carried interest calculations, and various tax forms (1065, 1120, 1120-F, 1042, 8804). Solid understanding of the private investment fund industry, including limited partnership agreements, investment structures, tax allocations, carried interest, federal withholding, and state, local, and international tax rules. Be a motivated, team-oriented self-starter who can handle diverse tax issues in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Proven ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a dynamic setting. Willingness to be hands-on and manage special projects. Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
