Virtualization Engineer
to design, implement, and maintain our virtualized environments. This role requires deep technical expertise in both Windows and Linux systems, as well as experience with VMware, Hyper-V, and related technologies. You’ll play a critical role in maintaining the performance, scalability, and reliability of our core infrastructure. This is a
fully remote
position open to U.S.-based candidates. Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and maintain virtual environments using VMware, Hyper-V, and KVM Manage both Windows and Linux servers within the virtualized infrastructure Implement and monitor system patches, updates, and performance optimizations Execute backup and disaster recovery strategies for critical virtual machines Collaborate with development and operations teams for system integration and deployments Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for virtualization environments and procedures Monitor infrastructure for system health, uptime, and resource allocation Evaluate and integrate emerging virtualization technologies to improve infrastructure agility Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience Proven experience as a Virtualization Engineer or in a similar systems engineering role Expertise with VMware, Hyper-V, and/or KVM platforms Proficiency with both Windows and Linux operating systems in virtual environments Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Ansible Familiarity with networking concepts (e.g., VLANs, VPNs, firewalls) Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills Strong communication and collaboration abilities Preferred Qualifications
VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Experience with container platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) Knowledge of hybrid or cloud-integrated virtualization environments (Azure, AWS) Background in fintech or other highly regulated industries Additional Information
