Advanced AWS Cloud Architect - NYC, NY (Hybrid)
Location: Jersey City, NJ
Duration: 16 Months+ Extension
Hourly Rate: Depending on Experience (DOE)
Work Authorization: 12 months Contract 37.5 hrs per week - NYC, NY (Hybrid)
Need a senior-level AWS Cloud Architect.
What You'll Do
Architect and document scalable, resilient, and secure AWS solutions. Define cloud governance frameworks, standards, and roadmaps. Lead hybrid cloud initiatives and on-prem to cloud integrations. Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi) and CI/CD automation. Drive cloud security best practices (IAM, GuardDuty, encryption, compliance frameworks). Optimize cloud usage and costs with FinOps practices. Partner with stakeholders across business, engineering, security, and finance to deliver real business impact. What You Bring
AWS expertise (6-10 years) deep hands-on experience with compute, storage, databases, serverless, and containers. Strong knowledge of cloud networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPNs, CDNs). Hybrid/on-prem experience (4-6 years) migrations, interoperability. Cloud DevOps (4-6 years) IaC, CI/CD, automation, config management. Cloud Security (2-3 years) IAM, WAF, SIEM, zero-trust models. Cloud FinOps (1-2 years) cost monitoring and optimization. Microsoft Visio (2-3 years) architecture documentation. Excellent communication skills to bridge technical depth and business strategy. Nice to Have
Oracle OCI (1-2 years), Azure, or Google Cloud Platform exposure. AWS data & analytics platforms (Glue, RedShift, Athena, Lake Formation). Knowledge of compliance frameworks (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001). Certification
