Remembrance, Resolution, Reconciliation, Restoration, Renewal About the Position: The sous chef is responsible for the preparation and serving of three meals a day at all Amity Foundation campuses. They oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, safety, and sanitation standards are met. The role includes supervising kitchen staff, managing inventory, participating in menu planning, budgeting, and ensuring maintenance of equipment and documentation. Responsibilities: Maintain cleanliness and safety of kitchen equipment and supplies. Coordinate maintenance and supplies needs. Serve as a positive role model and advisor for students. Oversee student incident prevention and intervention. Administer first aid and CPR as needed. Conduct emergency drills and ensure safety protocols are followed. Participate in workshops, meetings, and training. Ensure quality in food preparation and presentation. Manage kitchen staff and assign tasks. Enforce health and safety regulations. Order supplies and manage inventory. Develop menus considering preferences and seasonal ingredients. Train new staff on kitchen protocols. Resolve staff conflicts and conduct maintenance checks. Qualifications: Ability to work independently. Excellent organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Effective communication with diverse groups. Supervisory skills.
