Assistant or Associate Professor of Practice in Landscape Architecture (Multiple Positions) – The Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture (RRSLA) at Louisiana State University invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor of Practice in Landscape Architecture. The successful candidates will also be considered for program coordinator roles (BLA or MLA). Responsibilities
Teach in the professional Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (BLA) and Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) programs, including studios and core courses. Review student design projects and advise undergraduate and graduate research. Contribute to curricular development and advance the discipline through high-impact experiential learning. Teaching expertise should include one or more of the following areas: Design Foundations Plant Materials and Planting Design Grading and Stormwater Management Construction Materials and Methods Digital Representation and Technology Research Methods Context and Opportunities
LSU is located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and is the state's flagship university. The school offers BLA and MLA degrees and is housed within LSU's College of Art and Design. Opportunities exist for interdisciplinary research and teaching through LSU's Coastal Ecosystem Design Studio, internships, and field trips. The college maintains strong alumni support. Qualifications
Candidates should have a record of excellence in research, creative work, or professional practice in landscape architecture. They must have at least one degree in landscape architecture and a terminal degree in landscape architecture or an allied discipline. A doctoral degree and/or professional licensure are preferred but not required. Special Instructions
