Herzog Energy, Inc. is currently seeking a highly motivated and disciplined PV Project Engineer in the United States to join our team. Duties and Responsibilities
This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position. Day to day management of assigned projects. Understands the process of local authority submissions for various types of solar installation projects. Quality Oversight and project scheduling. Inspection of site progress and reporting. Conducting site surveys and leading the site team in engineering matters. Report to the Project Manager and fulfill project duties. Produce project plans and project milestones. Liaising with stakeholders to align the expectation of the project. Coordination of permitting for projects. Assist in the development and engineering to develop preliminary design budget. Support bid packages and procure materials and services as needed. Serve as point-of-contact for customers/clients during each project. Maintaining records and databases. Good record keeping and organizational skills. Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position. Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in electrical, civil, mechanical engineering fields or construction management 3+ years’ experience in solar or renewable project management with track record of success Experience in engineering or construction fields Self-starter with excellent presentation skills with constant attention to details. Self-disciplined and result-oriented. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Fluent English required; regional languages a plus Proficiency with MS office suite and AutoCAD, PVsyst Pre-Employment Requirements
Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review. Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen due to the safety sensitive nature of this position. Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis. Physical Requirements
The physical demands described below must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions of this role. This is a non-exhaustive overview of the physical requirements of this job. Perform light work, occasionally exerting up to 20 pounds of force. Able to walk on uneven surfaces. Occasionally ascend/descend step ladders and/or stairs. Regularly sit and stand for an extended period of time. Regularly kneel, bend, and squat. Must successfully pass color/vision examinations as required by the position. Must be able to hear and distinguish auditory signals as required by the position. Able to work in conditions with loud noise; work on/around heavy/moving machinery. Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, and sleet). Safety
