Telecommunications Engineer - Level II

supporting one of our government customers at

Brook Army Medical Center San Antonio Tx .

MINIMUM CLEARANCE LEVEL : Tier 2 (T2) or Secret CITIZENSHIP : US Citizenship LOCATION : Brook Army Medical Center San Antonio, TX.

Position Description: The Video Telecommunications Specialist will be responsible for setting up, installing, testing, troubleshooting, and operating Audio/Video/Control and related equipment as well as managing all field-related operations. Support all customer requests related to setting up, managing, and supporting Video Teleconferences, Conference Calling, Audio Visual requirements, and other associated bridge requests per SOP. Troubleshoot technical problems and issues, determine technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommend actions to the customer representatives for coordination of product solution.

Functional Responsibilities

Performs video capturing and transfers video to a media streaming server.

Performs troubleshooting of VTC and conference room equipment and executes repair or initiates trouble ticket to the appropriate office for support of components and connections external to site VTC system.

Performs routine performance testing to ensure VTC and other conference room equipment, computer servers, and workstations operate at optimal performance and capacity.

Resolves system operational problems by troubleshooting and performing fault isolations. Schedules Audio/Video (AV) and VTC sessions, maintains a call schedule, and coordinates reservations and scheduling of AV/VTC services with outside agencies for executive-level users.

Performs setup, tests, adjustments, operations, and shutdowns of equipment in support of AV/VTC sessions.

Provides client consulting and training on control, interfaces, and use of the audio/visual and VTC equipment.

Acts as equipment custodian and performs inventory asset management and accountability functions.

Provides life cycle refresh projections for AV/VTC infrastructure and AV equipment build out projects.

Educational Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in similar roles

Bachelor’s degree and/or Equivalent work experience

Defense Health Agency Experience a Plus

Certifications (IAT Level II):

CCNA-Security

CySA+

GICSP

GSEC

Security+ CE

CND

SSCP

CE Certifications:

CompTIA A+ CE Certification

CompTIA Security+ CE Certification

CompTIA Network+ CE Certification
