Senior Accounts Technician

to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and experienced professional to step into a client-facing, senior-level role within a supportive and forward-thinking practice. Key Responsibilities Prepare statutory year-end accounts for a portfolio of clients including limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders Oversee and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC and MTD regulations Review work prepared by junior team members and provide feedback and mentoring Liaise directly with clients, providing support and advice on accounting and bookkeeping queries Assist with management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting where required Use cloud accounting systems (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) to manage client data efficiently Ensure deadlines and service standards are consistently met Support Partners and Managers in delivering exceptional service and spotting advisory opportunities Requirements AAT qualified (Level 4) or ACA/ACCA part-qualified/qualified, or QBE with significant practice experience Minimum 4 years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice Strong accounts preparation and VAT knowledge Confident with cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage Experience reviewing and supporting junior team members Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and client needs To apply: If you're an experienced accounts professional ready to step into a senior role within a reputable and supportive accountancy practice in Huntingdon, get in touch with
