Our client is one of the largest Middle Market RE commercial funds in LA with over $xB in AUM. They are seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team, where you will be the first corporate accounting individual in the company and report directly to the CFO.
What you’ll be doing:
Reviewing and maintaining the books and records of investment funds Review monthly management accounts of US subsidiaries, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial records and reports Perform financial analysis to support the company's financial strategy and decision-making processes Review companies’ budgets, monitor performance against budgets and forecasts, investigate and explain variances Maintain and monitor companies’ KPIs, provide insights into trends, and business opportunities or risks Manage and prepare financial reports for shareholders and external stakeholders Review, maintain, and improve the internal controls to safeguard company assets, prevent fraud, and ensure accurate financial reporting Support mergers, acquisitions, and other major financial transactions, including due diligence and integration Accounting for complex corporate actions Calculating of income and expense allocations to each partner, including updating of distribution waterfall based on the terms of the governing documents Coordinating with funds' independent auditors and fund administrators What you’ll need:
CPA required Minimum 5-7 years relevant accounting or audit experience within Big Four public accounting or a mix of public accounting and investment management industry experience Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations and financial reporting standards (e.g., GAAP and IFRS) Solid analytical skills and ability to understand and resolve complex problems What’s in it for you:
