Overview
Senior Financial Analyst — Dallas, TX – hybrid, 3 days onsite Vaco is working on behalf of one of our privately-held billion-dollar clients to onboard a Senior Analyst to support operations for one of their fastest growing segments. This role will be closely aligned with Sr. Management and leaders in operations on key strategic initiatives (capacity planning, CapEx, OpEx needs etc.). Looking for Excel gurus who are able to use Excel-driven reporting to effectively tell a story. The company offers great promotional opportunities (most of the current Sr. Managers in Finance all started off as Analysts before promoting up) and the individuals we’ve placed with the organization have given us great feedback on culture and leadership. Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain recurring and ad hoc financial reports, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and actionable insights. Create interactive dashboards and visualizations to present financial and operational data to business stakeholders. Partner with cross-functional teams (FP&A, Accounting, Operations, Strategy) to gather data requirements and deliver customized reporting solutions. Analyze financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods; identify key trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes through data consolidation, reporting, and variance analysis. Build and enhance financial models to support forecasting, scenario planning, and business case development. Ensure data integrity and accuracy by validating financial data from multiple sources. Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual efforts. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 4–7 years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, or FP&A roles. Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar). Advanced Excel and strong PowerPoint skills. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and data query tools (e.g., SQL, Power Query).
