Overview

Restoration Business Development Manager – Territory Route Sales in Northern New Jersey. Location: Northern New Jersey. Salary/Commission Range: $35,000 - $150,000+ with quarterly bonuses for hitting monthly targets. As a Restoration Business Development Manager, your primary responsibility is to identify, engage, and establish NEW partnerships to drive business growth for restoration services (Cleaning – Carpet, Tile/Grout, Air Ducts as well as Restoration – Water Damage, Fire, Smoke and Mold Removal). You will independently source and secure leads, ensuring a steady pipeline of opportunities. This role requires a proactive, self-driven approach — no leads will be provided. Key Responsibilities

New Business Development:

Join at least one BNI-like networking group that meets weekly (e.g., 7am) at a nearby location. Engage in trade shows, community events, and networking opportunities (e.g., setting up a table at a Plumbing Supply Store). Identify and target referral sources such as insurance agents, property managers, real estate agents, and emergency response teams (residential and commercial). Conduct sales calls and schedule strategic meetings with potential partners. Present to prospective organizations like BNI, Community Business Alliance, and other networking groups. Lead generation activities — self-motivated.

Customer Relationship Management:

Regular Engagement: Maintain consistent communication with existing customers through phone calls and in-person visits to foster strong relationships. On-the-Road Role: Spend a minimum of four days a week driving to appointments and cold calling prospective clients. This is a field-based position with significant rewards for time and effort. Database Management: Ensure the contact database remains accurate and up-to-date to support effective communication and sales tracking.

Sales Administration:

Develop and maintain organized sales route records via Workiz — input daily activities with weekly recaps. Prepare and submit weekly and monthly sales reports. Actively participate in weekly sales meetings.

Qualifications

Experience:

3-4 years of relationship-based sales experience, preferably with plumbers, property managers, real estate agents, insurance brokers/agents, etc. Education:

Associate degree in business, marketing, or a related field (bachelor’s degree preferred). Skills:

Relationship selling expertise and the ability to differentiate value. Market insight and the ability to tailor selling strategies. Financial proficiency including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis. Analytical skills and data-driven decision making. Technical competence with MS Office and CRM tools (Workiz).

Territory Overview

Our North New Jersey region covers four large territories, including Morris County, parts of Somerset, most of Essex, all of Warren, and most of Hunterdon Counties. Main coverage areas include Morristown, Bridgewater, Montclair, Summit, Basking Ridge, West Orange, and surrounding communities.
