## Job Description# SAS Viya Platform EngineerWe are seeking a **SAS Viya Platform Engineer** to lead the design, development, and orchestration of the SAS Viya platform on a **Zero Trust Google Cloud Platform (GCP)** environment. This role involves collaborating with architects and cross-functional teams to ensure high performance, scalability, and maintainability of the SAS infrastructure, while driving innovation and user experience improvements.1. **Lead end-to-end architecture and deployment** of the SAS Viya platform on GCP, ensuring alignment with Zero Trust principles.2. Collaborate with architects to plan and execute **technology refresh projects**, optimizing infrastructure for performance and scalability.3. Enhance **user experience** through seamless URL management, analytics integration, localization, and component interoperability.4. Drive continuous improvement of the **reusable SAS Dataset library**.5. Design and implement **CI/CD pipelines** to support continuous integration and development across multiple products.6. Establish scalable development processes that enforce Ford standards and support dynamic content needs.7. Mentor junior engineers, lead code reviews, and promote best practices in code quality, testing, and performance optimization.8. Partner with product owners and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.9. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and **Inner Source** contributions.10. Prioritize the creation of engaging, tailored user experiences that deliver measurable business outcomes.* **SAS Software:** 5+ years as a SAS Administrator; SAS Viya experience preferred* **Java:** 10+ years of core Java API development* **Cloud Computing:** 5+ years building Docker containers and deploying to OpenShift* **Google Cloud Platform (GCP):** 5+ years, including Cloud Run* **PostgreSQL:** 2+ years
