This position is responsible for weekly payroll processing, maintenance/oversight of employee time records and schedules, weekly tax payments, quarterly and yearly reporting/filings, and other applicable payroll duties for multiple legal entities. Payroll Essential Responsibilities And Duties
Accurately prepares preliminary work-up of all new employees and all necessary data changes prior to payroll processing. Processes payrolls in accordance with FLSA and Minnesota statutes and in a timely and accurate manner. Maintains a check and balance system to ensure accuracy in payroll processing. Processes wage assignments, levies, garnishments and deductions according to all federal and state regulations and in a timely manner. Responds to requests for employee payroll information from facilities and outside agencies. Assists with federal and state mandated reports and surveys in an accurate and timely manner. Issues, or reissues, physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge. Records and processes federal and state payroll tax deposits. Prepares quarterly and yearly payroll statements and returns, including employee W2s. Timekeeping Essential Responsibilities And Duties
Works with facility Department Directors and Administrators to ensure timecards and schedules are being frequently maintained. Reviews timecards and schedules throughout pay period. Completes final review of timecards at the end of each pay period to look for any discrepancies. Runs multiple timekeeping and scheduling reports to ensure accuracy. Enters all online learning hours for employees. Qualifications
Required: At least 2 years of experience in payroll within a large organization. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Preferred: Experience in HRIS software. Experience with processing and reporting payroll taxes. Experience with quarterly/yearly payroll reporting/filings. About Monarch
