Sr. Academic Program Coordinator (Center for Leadership Education) – Requisition ID: 119082. The Center for Leadership Education (CLE) is seeking a Sr. Academic Program Coordinator. The primary purpose of this position is to manage all aspects of the day-to-day educational activities of the department’s undergraduate programs. The role involves recruitment, curriculum, evaluation, budget, experiential groups, student advising and other administrative duties. The position functions as a team member with faculty, staff and students and must be able to function independently. Responsibilities
Assist with student recruitment and marketing efforts for programs. Advise students on academic requirements, including handling sensitive personal issues when appropriate. Coordinate aspects of the interview and application process. Schedule, plan, develop and produce information sessions. Assist with tracking and analyzing trends data; compile data and generate reports. Make recommendations regarding marketing, processing and business outreach. Independently manage specific program activities as assigned. Responsible for budget projections, stipend and other expenditure accounting; interface with financial aid and other student services. Support course and student activity scheduling. Serve as liaison to resources such as the Registrar’s Office, Academic Advising, Admissions, Dean’s Office, other academic departments, Student Accounts, and the International Office; assist with visa issues as needed. Produce substantive reports for department faculty and administration. Maintain room schedules, addresses, phone lists, and emergency contact information. Assist in planning and executing special events (receptions, open houses, social gatherings). Maintain students’ academic files and faculty evaluations; plan orientation for new students. Advise students on program choices, advising, teaching opportunities, and job applications. May oversee the work of less experienced employees or students. Perform other related duties as requested. Manage Fotiadi Fund proposals, requests and awards. Oversee undergraduate programs and serve as primary advisors for CLE minors. Advise 350+ students on academic and graduation requirements. Update course catalog and manuals with program directors. Provide administrative support: assistant hiring, course info updates, catalog maintenance. Consult with and advise program Directors on changes to academic and student policies and procedures. Work with distressed students regarding academic concerns; collaborate with other university departments to resolve problems and support student success at Johns Hopkins. Manage department space and classroom assignments. Support student experiential groups (AMA, Salant, Enactus, Women in Business, SCNO, JHUCC, JHPMC), including budget approval. Serve as CLE’s Design Day event coordinator. Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Five years progressively responsible administrative/academic experience. Additional education may substitute for required experience, and additional related experience may substitute for required education, per the Johns Hopkins equivalency formula. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree preferred. Proficiency with MS Office applications, WordPress, SIS and course production. Additional Details
