Schedule : Monday - Friday, 1st shift. Position Overview
The Human Resource Coordinator is responsible for all administrative activities in the Human Resource area, including typing, filing, answering phones, taking applications, conducting reference checks, new hire induction, profile changes, recognition programs, insurance correspondence, facilitating new hire appraisals, preparing activity and safety reports, attendance reports and organization charts, and participating in the safety program. Responsibilities
Post/Maintain job requisitions in the eRecruiting database. Input status of candidates, schedule, offers, acceptances, and declinations in eRecruiting. Schedule applicants for interview, substance screening, and reference checks; refer to appropriate personnel for interview. Schedule required physical and substance tests for candidates as needed. Prepare new hire folders and complete proper paperwork; conduct new hire induction. Handle unemployment paperwork as needed for associates rotated out/laid off. Process insurance changes and maintain files, records, and reports. Maintain random substance abuse testing records and the Milliken Retirement Plan for all associates (enrollment, separation). Assist visitors and prepare location communications as needed. Process status changes for production associates (promotion, transfer, leave, layoff, separation); enter and update associate records/files. Conduct criminal background checks and prepare separation folders for HR approval and filing. Enter hires, transfers, promotions, and separations into Talent Central; maintain insurance files (medical, life, voluntary life, COBRA). Assist with service year award presentations and associate garnishments as directed by payroll. Coordinate the company wellness program for plant associates and dependents; assist retiring/disabled associates with retirement benefits. Coordinate on-site life insurance annual enrollment; purge folders per retention requirements; issue and maintain FMLA. Stay informed on public affairs and coordinate associate sales; process/Maintain I-9s/E-Verify; perform data retrieval and analysis on a period end basis. Create and maintain plant SPIs related to Human Resources and issue paperwork for prescription safety glasses. Update Emergency Accountability rosters as necessary; actively participate in the safety program. Perform other duties as assigned by the Human Resource Manager. Qualifications
Ability to speak, write and read English. Prefer 2-year associate degree, or 4-year bachelor’s degree and/or 3-5 years of relevant HR administrative experience. Ability to read and prepare various documents and reports including requisitions, LOA (General and FMLA), insurance documents, and other office materials. Strong communication, poise, and confidence when interacting with associates, vendors, and the public. Proficient in PC hardware, desktop software, HR SAP, and Microsoft Office. Ability to work independently on a broad range of projects and handle customer visits/requirements. Willingness to travel between plants; some overnight travel may be required. Core strengths
