We’re seeking a dedicated Workers’ Compensation Paralegal to join our growing team. Overview

We are searching for a WC Paralegal responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to organizing and analyzing documents and case work, drafting pleadings and other court documents, filing court documents, scheduling events, actively contributing in all phases of the discovery process, and preparing exhibits and documents for court hearings, depositions, and trials. The WC Paralegal must be extremely organized and meticulous, and able to multitask in order to effectively work in the Firm’s high-speed, client-driven environment. Responsibilities

Maintain client files with continual updating and filing copies of documents (electronic/paper files) created within the office or received from outside parties, including but not limited to, employment records, claim file records, medical bills, and a large number of medical records that will also need to be sorted, reviewed, maintained, and updated on a continual basis Meet with clients in the office for questions, notary services, disbursements, etc. Properly request documents to further support clients’ claims and ongoing follow-up to keep clients’ files as up to date as possible Manage client communication and correspondence, including phone calls and email Schedule appointments, court dates, and other case-related events based on attorney and client availability Preparation of exhibits, exhibit and witness lists for trials/hearings, pre-trial conference memos, mediation materials, and settlement documents Ability to prioritize while meeting all deadlines and demonstrating a high level of reliability and efficiency Maintain up-to-date knowledge of court rules, procedures, and legal requirements Ability to use foresight to effectively plan ahead in an effort to anticipate the needs of supervising attorneys and the team Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent 1-2 years of experience in a legal office or law firm setting, preferably in personal injury, medical malpractice, or civil litigation Knowledge of legal concepts and principles sufficient to perform research tasks under the direction and guidance of the paralegal Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with attorneys, clients, and other support staff Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Familiarity with case management software and databases is preferred Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards Compensation

$24 - $30/hour
