Eastern Shore of Maryland/Delaware (Will consider a person outside of the geographical area with experience in physical therapy recruitment) Position Summary
The Physical Therapy Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent to join Aquacare/Fitness Forum Physical Therapy. This role ensures the organization has highly skilled therapists, assistants, and support staff to meet patient care needs. The Recruiter develops and implements recruitment strategies, builds relationships with universities and professional associations, and maintains a strong pipeline of candidates aligned with the company culture, recognizing that recruitment in the physical therapy industry can be challenging. Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Sourcing
Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and support staff. Proactively source candidates through job boards, social media, professional associations, and career fairs. Build and maintain strong relationships with PT and PTA programs, faculty, and students to create a steady pipeline of future hires. Conduct phone screenings, coordinate interviews, and guide candidates through the hiring process. Employer Branding & Outreach
Promote Aquacare/Fitness Forum as a premier employer of choice for physical therapists and rehabilitation professionals. Represent the organization at university job fairs, APTA events, and community career expos. Develop recruitment marketing content in collaboration with the marketing team (flyers, digital campaigns, social media). Highlight unique aspects of the practice (PT-owned, specialty programs, mentorship, flexible scheduling, leadership development). Candidate & Hiring Manager Support
Partner with clinical directors and CEO to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment plans. Ensure a positive candidate experience through timely communication and professional representation of the company. Facilitate reference checks, licensure verification, and onboarding coordination with HR. Data Tracking & Reporting
Maintain applicant tracking systems and candidate databases. Track recruitment metrics (time-to-fill, source effectiveness, retention rates) and provide monthly reports to leadership. Recommend process improvements based on data and market trends. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred. Recruitment experience in healthcare or high-volume professional hiring required. Strong interpersonal, communication, and networking skills. Knowledge of physical therapy or healthcare industry required. Ability to work independently, travel as needed, and manage multiple searches at once. Proficient in applicant tracking systems, social media recruiting, and Microsoft Office/Google Suite.
