Philanthropy Coordinator

Wellstar Health System . The Philanthropy Coordinator is responsible for creating inviting opportunities for donors to deepen their understanding, interest, and affinity for Wellstar Health System. Reporting to the Executive Director, Principal Gifts, this role will work collaboratively with the Annual Fund, Research, and Development Teams to ensure a cohesive donor experience. Two programs that the Philanthropy Coordinator will directly work to deepen engagement for are the Grateful Patient and Family Engagement Program and the Women of Wellstar Initiative. The Grateful Patient and Family Engagement Program is the premier way for patients and their families to express gratitude to their clinical care team. Women of Wellstar is a membership initiative that drives impact alongside the Women\'s Health Service Line. This person will oversee the engagement activities of both programs, along with other administrative duties.
Core Responsibilities And Essential Functions
Donor Cultivation and Stewardship: In partnership with the Annual Fund Team, makes and/or assigns donor thank-you calls, emails, and thank you notes resulting in donor pipeline and major gift growth for the Foundation.
Managing a portfolio of annual leadership gifts.
With the support of the Development and Events Team, provide support for engagement events, including managing RSVPs, on-site logistics, and post-event follow-up.
Supports the Executive Director of Principal Gifts with fundraising events including creating presidential briefings, strategy development, visit packets, and proposals as necessary.
Provide cultivation and stewardship support for principal donors and board members including creating reports, memoranda, and solicitation strategy.
Program Coordination: Ensure that the Grateful Patient Program materials are up to date and replenished across the system.
Provide support for the Women of Wellstar Initiative to include scheduling meetings, event logistics, and the recognition and stewardship of members.
Provide support to the development team, providing the materials and resources to support the strategy necessary to achieve established Foundation goals.
Tracks and analyzes fundraising results and trends to ensure efficiency, successful implementation, and continuous improvement.
Provides general project management and coordination of special projects. Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
Required Minimum Education
Bachelors Business Administration/Management or Bachelors Other
Required Minimum License(s) And Certification(s) All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
Additional License(s) And Certification(s) Required Minimum Experience
Minimum 3 years working in the nonprofit sector.
Required and Minimum 1 year Demonstrated experience in managing donor programs, preferably within a healthcare setting.
