The Practice Associate IV is an experienced professional supporting front desk operations within the Department of Radiology. This team lead works with minimal supervision, guiding peers and managing daily operations to deliver an exceptional patient experience and foster a culture of Service, Trust, Empathy, Safety, Inclusion, and Communication. Responsibilities
Greet patients and visitors; answer calls. Handle pre-registration, check-in/out, appointments, and related tasks. Register patients, verify/update insurance info, obtain authorizations and referrals, and manage payments. Manage physician schedules, ensuring necessary authorizations are obtained. Schedule appointments, procedures, and coordinate care across specialties. Serve as liaison among providers, referring physicians, and patients. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits. Conduct pre-authorizations and pre-certifications. Address escalated cases or issues as first point of contact. Potentially rotate to other sites, serve as Team Lead or Preceptor, supervise tasks, and escalate issues. Assist with special projects, audits, staff training, scheduling, and coverage. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Associate degree required; 2 years relevant experience may substitute. Minimum 5 years' experience or equivalent combination. Experience in a medical office environment required. Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills. Organized, able to manage workload and complex cases. Mentoring ability and professional, compassionate demeanor. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; willingness to learn new systems. Experience in radiology or medical imaging preferred. Experience with Epic and training delivery preferred. Additional Details
