Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor - Iron Mountain, MI
Our Systems Control location in Iron Mountain, MI is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor to manage a diverse team supporting engineering and production of our manufactured products. Provide daily leadership to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost reduction initiatives are met Lead manufacturing improvements including fixtures, tools, machine utilization, and layout redesign Promote participation in continuous improvement processes such as "My Ideas", coaching, problem-solving, and Lean initiatives to reduce waste and costs Guide the team towards strategic goals related to Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Capital Expenditure Research and justify new capital equipment to support manufacturing Lead and participate in Kaizen activities and problem-solving using A3 thinking Drive team performance to improve results and implement cost reduction strategies Develop and coach team members, onboard new employees, and foster an engaged workforce Collaborate with production, design, and project management to align on projects and priorities Qualifications for Success
B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience At least five years of experience in engineering or operations management in a similar industry Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and capital equipment analysis Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Creo (preferred) Core Competencies
