ARCO/Murray Power Solutions (AMPS) is currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team based in Downers Grove, Illinois. The Project Manager will play a key role as part of the AMPS team in delivering turnkey power solutions to our clients. This person will lead managerial and administrative aspects of AMPS projects including estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, progress billing, design review/coordination, cost reporting, safety, and proposal preparation. Create competitive, accurate, and timely project cost estimates and preliminary schedules for a large pipeline of general electrical and renewable energy system construction projects. Investigate specifications, scope of work, drawings, and other RFP documents to develop a complete understanding of the requirements and associated risks. Participate in proposal meetings with clients to review scope, discuss cost-reduction strategies, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts and fees. Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout for all trades and vendors. Identify opportunities to procure material or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to budget or schedule. Work with the Project Superintendent to develop and review subcontractor scopes of work/contracts, project schedule, and site logistics plan. Lead preconstruction planning meetings with designers, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve constructability, sequencing, and manpower issues. Lead weekly/bi-weekly OAC meetings on-site once construction begins to review progress and address challenges with the client. Track and manage project performance versus budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports. Find ways to make the construction process engaging for clients, subcontractors, and vendors while maintaining quality and safety. Necessary qualifications
BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field 3–5 years of construction management experience required Previous substation, renewable energy, or medium-voltage electrical project experience preferred Experience using Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Projects and/or P6 preferred Experience designing or reviewing drawings in AutoCAD or REVIT required Ability to travel nationwide as needed Make your move
