Maintenance Supervisor (Licensed Engineer) Posted: 9/19/25 Responsibilities
Develops work items, preliminary engineering drawings, technical analyses, cost estimates, and reports to support ship repair and modernization projects. Generates detailed work packages and testing procedures in compliance with contractual and regulatory standards. Coordinates and documents both routine and emergent maintenance of shipboard equipment. Serves as primary liaison with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), government representatives, and ship’s crew to ensure technical issues are resolved efficiently. Leads maintenance teams during ship availabilities both within the continental United States (CONUS) and overseas (OCONUS), ensuring operational readiness and quality of workmanship. Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering or a minimum of ten years of direct HM&E experience aboard U.S. Navy or U.S. Coast Guard vessels. Substitution: an unlimited 1st Assistant Engineer or higher Merchant Marine Credential (MMC) if substituting experience for a degree. Must have firsthand experience with control systems and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
