Position Summary: The Senior Electrical Designer will be responsible for raceway design, equipment location and layout, C&R schedule inputting and update using Setroute, conduit and raceway design, and related documentation and modelling, including cable pull calculations, design of lighting using AGi32, grounding layout, grounding designs/calculations and lightning protection systems. Develops specifications for equipment and material where deviation from standard documentation is required. Responsibilities

Responsible for raceway design, equipment location and layout, C&R schedule inputting and update, conduit and aboveground raceway design. Produce drawings and documentation in accordance with established design and scope including design of lighting, communications, grounding layout, grounding designs/calculations, and lightning protection systems. Develop specifications for equipment and material where deviation from standard documentation is required. Electrical Physical Design (and circuit and raceway). Works under the direction of Engineering Group Supervisor and Lead Designer. Must be a self-starter and capable of independent creative design, with direction, using Bechtel and industry proven concepts and procedures. Must have proven 2D and 3D CAD skills. Must have experience with an electronic Cable Management System, such as the SETROUTE program, and be able to input and complete corrections to the database. Responsibilities also include ensuring that the electrical systems designs comply with all applicable installation codes, regulations, and standards. May interface with Construction and Subcontractors. Must be able to effectively communicate and work well with others and within a team. Must be able to work well with other disciplines. Must know how to use computer programs such as the Microsoft Windows suite of programs. Ability to cope with conflicting deadlines, frequent interruptions, and multiple tasks. Qualifications

2D and 3D CAD proficiency (2D/3D CADD skills). Experience with electronic Cable Management System (SETROUTE) and input/corrections to the database. Experience with lighting design (AGi32). Knowledge of grounding layout, grounding designs/calculations, and lightning protection systems. Strong communication and teamwork abilities across disciplines. Self-starter with ability to work independently within established design concepts and procedures. Employment Details
