Overview We are seeking an innovative and forward-thinking Director of Automation for a renewable energy client. This role is pivotal in driving enterprise-wide adoption and integration of Industry 4.0 and AI solutions across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, R&D, IT, and HR.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and implementation of Engineering Standards for Industry 4.0, shaping the design and execution of core platforms and processes.

Craft a unified approach to Digital Transformation, Connected Services, AI/ML decision-making frameworks, Digital Twinning, and Data Management.

Engage with industry counterparts to explore new technologies with the potential to revolutionize business practices and deliver value.

Formulate a comprehensive strategy for incorporating Industry 4.0 and AI into manufacturing processes, ensuring a smooth transition to smart manufacturing practices.

Oversee the selection and deployment of automation tools and systems, while nurturing a team dedicated to innovation and excellence in automation.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with a preference for candidates with advanced degrees.

Over 15 years of experience in Manufacturing with a significant focus on engineering and automation.

A robust history of designing and implementing successful automation initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and contribute to business growth.

Expertise in Industry 4.0 technologies, including AI, machine learning, robotics, and IoT applications within a manufacturing context.

Exceptional project management capabilities, able to handle intricate projects involving diverse locations and teams.

A strategic vision capable of identifying opportunities for growth, making informed decisions, and achieving substantial outcomes in a dynamic setting.
