Overview

Join the West Virginia University School of Medicine and the WVU Heart & Vascular Institute as a Faculty Electrophysiologist. We are seeking candidates to practice across multiple WVU Medicine sites in West Virginia and the surrounding states, with academic appointment and involvement at our flagship campus. What You’ll Do

Provide high quality clinical care in cardiac electrophysiology including advanced ablations, complex arrhythmia management, device implantation, and follow-up care.

Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams including cardiologists, interventionalists, surgeons, imaging specialists, and heart failure/transplant teams.

Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows, contributing to academic scholarship and continuous improvement.

Engage in clinical research and quality initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

MD or DO (or foreign equivalent) with eligibility for a state medical license.

Completed internal medicine residency, cardiovascular disease fellowship, and EP fellowship.

Board certified or board eligible in electrophysiology (or equivalent).

Demonstrated competence or desire in advanced EP procedures (e.g. atrial fibrillation ablation, ventricular tachycardia ablation, cardiac rhythm device implantation/extraction).

Strong communication, teaching, and team leadership skills.
