Apply your expertise as a Senior Engineering Lab Specialist in our R&D Lab in Shrewsbury, MA. We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on **Senior Engineering Lab Specialist** to support our engineering test lab operations. This role will be responsible for setting up, executing, and documenting valve-related tests in support of the engineering group. This role requires senior-level technical expertise, initiative, and collaboration across engineering teams with acute attention to detail. Machining experience is a plus but not required.**Expectations****To excel in the role you** **will:*** Set up and run valve-related tests, including pressure, flow, endurance, and environmental testing.* Collaborate with engineers to develop and refine test procedures and fixtures.* Maintain and calibrate lab equipment and instrumentation.* Document test setups, procedures, results, and observations with high accuracy.* Troubleshoot test setups and provide technical feedback to engineering teams.* Support continuous improvement initiatives in lab operations and safety.* Assist in training junior lab personnel and interns as needed.**To succeed in this role you will need**:* Associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Engineering Technology, Electronics/ Mechatronics, or related field required.* 5+ years of experience in a test lab or engineering support role.* Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with valves, actuators, or fluid systems.* Familiarity with data acquisition systems and instrumentation.* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and test specifications.* Excellent documentation and communication skills.* Machining experience or familiarity with machine tools and measuring devices is a plus.**We offer**We offer a challenging work environment that values innovation and suits development-minded people who enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.
