Responsible for proper care and handling of instruments and facilitating room turnover between cases. Maintains sterile technique, safe handling of sharps and performance of surgical counts as per hospital policy. Demonstrates proper handling of solutions and pharmacologic agents under direction of a registered nurse. Serves as a patient advocate. Functions as a preceptor to staff and students orienting to the operating room scrub position.ScheduleFT (40) positions available. Straight Nights Mon-Thurs 9p-7a, Holidays per unit guidelines, no weekends, and no call responsibilities.ResponsibilitiesSeeking enthusiastic individuals, excited to be a part of a multidisciplinary team that cares for pediatric patients across the age continuum. Specialties include general surgery, urology, dental, OMFS, neurosurgery, plastics, burns, ENT, and orthopaedics. Must possess technical knowledge and specialize in preparation and safe handling of instrumentation, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures. Good organizational and communication skills are required.
