Key Responsibilities

Assess, Diagnose, and Treat: Work with children, adolescents, adults, and elders to provide comprehensive mental health care. Prescribe Medications: Utilize your expertise to manage treatment plans in accordance with Alaska’s Nurse Practice Act. Collaborate: Partner with counselors, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic client care. Document Care: Ensure timely and accurate medical records, including assessments, treatment plans, and billing entries. Develop Treatment Plans: Create individualized treatment plans that incorporate the latest best practices in mental health care. Engage with Families: Communicate with guardians and significant others when appropriate, fostering a supportive network for your clients. Order Tests: Utilize diagnostic tests to monitor client progress and treatment effectiveness. Qualifications

A Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Nursing with a specialization in psychiatry/mental health. An unencumbered license to practice as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in Alaska. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. A valid DEA number and no exclusions from federal health care programs. Strong documentation skills and experience navigating electronic health records. Work Location

You must be willing to commute or relocate. This is an in-person position in Fairbanks, AK. Relocation assistance options may be available. Compensation and Benefits
