Posted Friday, August 15, 2025 at 4:00 AM The Senior Merchandise Manager – Footwear is responsible for developing and executing merchandise strategies across all DTC channels to drive sales, maximize profitability, and enhance brand positioning within the footwear category. This role requires strategic planning, product assortment management, market trend analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver compelling product ranges that meet customer needs and align with business objectives. Drive product alignment and digital execution, with a strong focus on DTC and marketplaces. The Senior Merchandise Manager reports to the VP of Merchandising & Planning and will set the merchandising assortments for the region, focusing on consumer needs, marketplace insights, and a segmented go-to-market strategy. The role involves unlocking opportunities based on deep consumer and marketplace knowledge. What You'll Do Participate in weekly merchandising meetings, analyzing top and bottom sellers and key programs. Work closely with the VP of Merchandising and merchandise planning teams to maximize revenue and develop best-in-class assortments across DTC and marketplaces. Develop seasonal merchandising strategies and product assortments aligned with brand vision, sales targets, and margin goals. Create and manage the DTC merchandise calendar to ensure timely product launches and seasonal transitions. Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities. Oversee marketplace style selection, inventory, and pricing, adjusting strategies based on performance. Establish growth strategies for gender and business units, collaborating with the Director of Merch Planning to build budgets and targets. Lead product feed and lifecycle decisions for DTC channels, identifying opportunities and risks. Coordinate with marketing, eCommerce, retail operations, and visual merchandising to execute go-to-market plans. Present merchandise strategies, insights, and trading plans to DTC teams seasonally. Maintain understanding of local market dynamics, consumer needs, and product trends. Focus on consumer insights and competitive trends to inform merchandising decisions. Lead the art and science of merchandising to optimize product offerings. What You'll Bring Bachelor’s Degree and 5-7 years of related experience. Experience in Buying, Merchandising, Planning, or Product Management within the footwear industry. Proven ability to develop and implement profitable merchandising strategies. Digital and marketplace experience. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in retail math, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making. Understanding of the footwear market, including consumer trends, competitors, and distribution channels. Knowledge of different business models such as Retail, Franchise, Ecommerce, and Supply Chain. Leadership and influencing skills. Product knowledge and footwear expertise. Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership abilities.
