Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois invites applications from qualified individuals for a 100% full-time Full Professor position in the Department of Finance. The successful candidate will support the academic excellence of this well-respected department. First, the candidate should have a publication record in leading journals demonstrating ongoing and rigorous scholarly achievement appropriate for this rank. Second, the candidate should be contributing to the innovation in programs and curricula for which the department is known and delivering an exceptional experience to highly motivated students. Minimum Qualifications Full Professor candidates must either possess a PhD in Finance, Economics, or a related field, and must have a substantial track record of publications in leading finance and/or economics journals. Full Professor candidates must demonstrate a record of teaching effectiveness and leadership potential commensurate with this position. Appointment Information This is a 100% full-time Academic position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after August 16, 2026. The budgeted salary range for this position is $300,000-$450,000. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications, rank and experience while considering internal equity. Applications must be received by December 15, 2025.
