Clinical Rehabilitation & Mental Health Counseling
The Department of Child and Family Studies at the University of South Florida (USF) in the College of Behavioral and Community Sciences is seeking an Assistant-Associate Professor for its Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling program (CRMHC). This is a tenure earning/tenured 9-month Assistant-Associate faculty position. This position will teach in person courses in the program during Fall and Spring semesters. The position will have responsibilities as a core faculty member with responsibilities for both research and teaching. The role will include responsibilities for research and securing external grant funding, mentoring and advising graduate students, teaching, and university, community, and professional service. Successful applicants must meet University of South Florida criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, including holding a doctoral degree from an accredited institution. This position will be a part of USF Tampa Campus. Minimum Qualifications
Earned doctorate in Counselor Education (preferably from a CACREP-accredited program) or a closely related field and meet CACREP core faculty eligibility requirements and the University’s criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Possession of or eligibility for licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida or Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) status within one year of employment. Preferred Qualifications
Evidence of a clear research focus and an early career record of scholarly activity Teaching experience with master’s level courses in rehabilitation or mental health counseling Experience providing clinical supervision Knowledge of CACREP accreditation standards and/or participation in CACREP accreditation processes Experience with grant writing Grant procurement and scholarly publication CRMHC Program

The CRMHC offers two concentrations of study: Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling, two graduate certificates (Addiction and Substance Abuse; Marriage and Family Therapy), and one undergraduate certificate (Addiction and Substance Abuse) program. Child & Family Studies (CFS) is one of seven departments and schools within the College of Behavioral & Community Sciences (CBCS) at the University of South Florida (USF). CFS offers five academic programs: Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health (CABH), Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling (CRMHC), and Rehabilitation Counseling & Disability Sciences (RCDS). Six undergraduate/graduate certificates are also offered. Three research divisions are involved in numerous training, technical assistance, and evaluation activities. CFS efforts are consistent with the CBCS mission of combining knowledge gained through the behavioral sciences with knowledge gained from the community. CFS faculty, staff, and students, who are well immersed in the local community as well as state and national efforts, are deeply connected to the college’s focus of Creating Healthy Communities.
