Criminal Justice POSITION TITLE:
Lecturer Pool – Division of Criminal Justice POSITION DETAILS: The department is currently seeking instructors for courses in criminal justice, law enforcement/investigations, justice administration, criminology theory and research methods, law and courts, corrections, offenders and offenses, community and justice system, and other related areas. Duties include instruction, class preparation, grading, and office hours. Other duties may be assigned based on departmental needs. Part-time lecturers are instructional faculty with conditional appointments based on enrollment and budget. Appointments are typically for one semester and may be renewed based on department needs, funding, and performance. Rank and Salary: Initial rank and salary for lecturer faculty are based on professional experience and educational background and determined by the hiring department. Most new lecturers are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank. The salary ranges are based on a "full-time rate" (15 weighted teaching units [WTUs]). REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Masters degree in criminal justice, criminology, social sciences, law, or related fields/disciplines. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Doctoral degree in criminal justice, criminology, social sciences, law, or related fields/disciplines. Prior/current college level teaching experience.
