Medical Director of Acute Care Psychiatric Services – Keene, NH Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene / Cheshire Medical Center is seeking a Medical Director to lead and help build our Acute Care Psychiatric Services in Keene, New Hampshire. The Medical Director will work with the Chair of Psychiatry to develop acute care psychiatry services, provide psychiatric consultations to the ED and inpatient medical units, and offer outpatient psychiatric evaluation and medication management at Cheshire Medical Center’s Doorway Department, which launched its Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) program in September 2020. The role includes coordinating with the Doorway team to provide MAT services to patients with substance use disorders and co-occurring behavioral health issues, collaborating with an RN and clinical team on care coordination, insurance pre-authorizations, referrals, and caseload management, and supervising psychiatric advanced practice providers. This position offers an opportunity to develop a sustainable service within a rural, underserved community.
