Overview

The Life Extension 2 (LE2) team is an organization within Lockheed Martin Space's Fleet Ballistic Missiles (FBM) program that supports the development of the Next Generation System by developing concepts, researching, and maturing technologies to support the development of the next FBM Missile System. One of two System Engineering Managers responsible for Model Based System Engineers and Architects on the FBM LE2 program will lead a team to define the technical solution and overall system design for a vital and complex missile system. You will work closely with the other L5 over the LE2 Architecture & Modeling team to direct the team to provide the best, integrated solution that meets overall performance, cost, and schedule needs. You and your team of ~10-15 Systems Engineers will perform critical functions, including: Responsibilities

Establishing, managing, and communicating team expectations, goals, roles, responsibilities, and objectives Ensuring the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions Leading and performing technical, cost, and schedule planning Establishing and documenting system architecture and CONOPS flowing down the architecture and CONOPS into requirements and interfaces while ensuring FBM Use Cases close with architecture and underlying design Performing staffing and performance responsibilities; in coordination with HR and established processes Qualifications

Basic Qualifications Demonstrated experience leading a team as a technical lead, LM L-Code lead, or similar management role 5 years of experience working on a missile system, space vehicle, or launch vehicle program Experience in performing Systems Engineering functions, such as: System Trade studies and/or System modeling; System architecture or CONOPS development; Requirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) development; System Integration, Test and/or Verification; Design reviews Demonstrated team collaboration, communication, and leadership skills Understanding of cost, schedule, and project programmatic processes Current Active Secret clearance or higher Desired Skills Experience with the FBM program and the Navy customer, or another relevant program Experience managing a team with Agile processes Experience applying Lockheed Martin Systems Engineering processes Familiarity or proficiency with: SysML/Cameo/Magic Draw, DOORS, MATLAB, Architecture Framework such as DoDAF, Model Center Design and test experience with one or more subsystems or disciplines outside of Systems Engineering Ability to lead multi-functional teams and coordinate work as one team with common goals Active DoD Top Secret clearance Security and Additional Information

Onsite Full-time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five-day week to condensed schedules with additional flexibility. These schedules are in addition to Paid Time Off benefits. Schedule for this Position:

9x80 every other Friday off Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For other locations, the salary range will reflect the final work location. This salary is a general guideline and depends on scope, responsibilities, experience, and market considerations.
