Our client's Corporate Underwriting Department is looking for an enthusiastic Senior Natural Catastrophe Risk Analyst who will develop and maintain state of the art Nat Cat modelling and pricing methodologies, conduct targeted portfolio analysis and scenario-based assessment and who will model incoming reinsurance contracts with relevant Nat Cat exposure. Permanent Key Responsibilities(Including but not limited to): Drive the enhancement of Nat Cat technical landscape Assess the materiality of natural perils scenarios in companies reinsurance portfolio, perform targeted quantitative analysis and derive actionable business insights Steer the validation of Nat Cat vendors’ models Perform risk assessment, modelling and technical pricing of reinsurance treaties with relevant Nat Cat exposure, in close cooperation with non-life underwriting teams Provide technical guidance and educational support to underwriters, actuaries and other colleagues on Nat Cat topics Monitor and assess Nat Cat events with potential impact on the company University degree in climatology, geology, statistics, mathematics or similar Minimum 10 years of experience in a Nat Cat modelling position Excellent understanding of reinsurance, as relates to Nat Cat risk. Underwriting and technical pricing experience as an advantage Fluency in English. French or German an advantage
