The Industrial Forklift Operator is responsible for unloading and loading all inbound and outbound products, as well as moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting products within and throughout the warehouse. Essential Functions/Key Deliverables Inspect the technical condition of the forklift and other handling equipment before starting work to determine the need for repairs to operate machinery safely. Record pre-use checks in the system or vehicle logbook as required. Report any faults and/or breakdowns of the forklift to the supervisor. Check the delivered quantities and condition of goods, recording data accurately on the receiving form. Unload goods, packaging, raw materials, etc., from incoming vehicles and stack them in designated areas using the forklift. Complete orders for distribution, adhering to quality standards and instructions. Ensure each product pallet is secured for transit and labeled correctly. Load goods onto trucks for transportation following safety regulations using the forklift. Move stock throughout the warehouse according to instructions. Use the SAP RFID scanning system correctly to ensure inventory accuracy and monitor RF equipment functionality. Transport materials to the production department following FIFO procedures. Operate low-lift pallet trucks as needed, e.g., for container loading. Clean forklifts and handling equipment according to ISO and BRC standards. Perform general warehouse duties when not operating the forklift, including housekeeping. Select and sort packaging materials and assist with stocktakes. Assist with the implementation and maintenance of CP systems, including internal audits. Safely exchange forklift gas cylinders, refill fuel tanks, or replace/recharge batteries as needed. Adhere to all GMP and BRC requirements. Perform other duties reasonably related to the role. Knowledge/Skills/Experience Engineering or technical degree preferred. Minimum 2 years forklift experience, preferably with propane, gas, or diesel forklifts. Ability to operate a forklift required. Proficiency in reading and writing English. Basic math skills. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and SAP. Ability to work independently and in a team; flexible and eager to grow with the organization. Physical Demands Activities vary in frequency, including occasional, frequent, and constant tasks, such as lifting, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, sitting, and other physical activities. Vision, hearing, touch, PPE usage, and mobility are required. Work Environment Ability to work in hot environments depending on weather conditions.
