Overview

Boston Scientific’s Cardiovascular Finance and Accounting Group is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will perform a variety of duties including analyzing accounts, preparing reports, and performing the monthly financial close activities. You will specialize as one of our divisional experts in complex revenue transactions and capital leasing arrangements, track and maintain critical business assets, and continually identify ways to improve and streamline processes. Your responsibilities

Provide technical accounting expertise on topics such as lessor accounting and revenue recognition; participate in research, implementation, and monitoring activities including formal quarterly disclosures and interactions with business partners. Prepare asset reports, general ledger entries, and account reconciliations on monthly, quarterly, and yearly cadences. Compile and analyze financial information to generate forecasts for capital-related accounts and deliver forecasts to business partners. Compile and analyze monthly actuals against forecast. Establish and communicate accounting policies by maintaining a thorough understanding of GAAP and new accounting guidance as appropriate. Coordinate with internal business on annual field inventory counts. Seek opportunities for continuous improvement and standardize processes across multiple legal entities. Leverage systems to find new efficiencies and support delivery of key performance metrics and ad hoc research and reporting as agreed with business partners. Prepare balance sheet reporting package and provide meaningful commentary. Maintain internal control environment and assist with regular SOX documentation and testing requirements. Minimum qualifications

3+ years of progressive experience with a public accounting firm or large, complex multi-national company. Detail oriented; strong integrity; highly developed customer relationship and communication skills. Inquisitive and actively seeks opportunities to improve efficiency. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Preferred qualifications

Active CPA license. SAP and Hyperion experience preferred. Prior revenue recognition or lease accounting experience preferred. Compensation and policies

The anticipated compensation and value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific will vary based on location and other factors. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. For non-exempt (hourly) positions, compensation may include variable components and bonuses. For exempt positions, long-term incentives may apply. Minimum salary: 69,500; Maximum salary: 132,000. Boston Scientific is an equal opportunity employer.
