Overview
We are seeking a skilled
Data Analyst
with strong experience in
AWS cloud services
and a deep understanding of
healthcare data . This role will focus on collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex healthcare datasets to drive data-informed decisions, improve operational efficiency, and support strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with AWS data tools and a strong grasp of healthcare standards like HIPAA, HL7, FHIR, and claims/EHR data. Responsibilities
Analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured
healthcare data
and
Insurance Data
from multiple sources including EHRs, claims, patient portals, and third-party vendors. Leverage
AWS services
such as
S3, Redshift, Athena, Glue, Lambda , and
Quicksight
to process, analyze, and visualize data. Design and develop
ETL/ELT pipelines
for efficient data ingestion and transformation. Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support stakeholders including clinicians, executives, and operations teams. Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure data integrity and accessibility. Ensure compliance with
HIPAA
and other healthcare data privacy regulations. Perform root cause analysis on data anomalies and recommend corrective actions. Provide insights to improve patient outcomes, reduce costs, and optimize performance across healthcare functions. Document data processes, schemas, and metrics definitions for internal use. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Public Health, or related field. 3+ years of experience in data analysis roles. 2+ years working with
AWS data tools
(e.g., Redshift, Athena, S3, Glue). Strong SQL skills and experience with Python or R for data analysis. Experience working with
healthcare data
such as claims, clinical/EHR, patient engagement, or population health data. Familiarity with healthcare data standards (e.g.,
FHIR, HL7, ICD, CPT, LOINC ). Experience with data visualization tools like
Tableau, Power BI, or AWS Quicksight . Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in a quantitative or healthcare-related field. Experience with healthcare analytics platforms or EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner). Knowledge of machine learning basics or statistical modeling is a plus. Experience with HIPAA compliance and working in a secure cloud environment.
