Wayne State University The Wayne State University Neurocritical Care Fellowship is seeking a first or second year fellow to join our ACGME and UCNS accredited program to begin on

July 1, 2026.

Clinical training primarily takes place within Detroit Medical Center, a comprehensive stroke center and level 1 trauma center, located in Detroit's Midtown, offering art, food, and history right outside the hospital doors. Our program provides comprehensive training in managing a variety of pathologies, including traumatic brain injury, stroke, intracranial hemorrhage, spinal cord injury, status epilepticus, and multi-organ failure all within our closed Neuro ICU. Graduates are well-rounded Neurointensivists, providing holistic care across various critical care facets, including medical and surgical intensive care and willbecome proficient at a variety of procedures, including, but not limited to,difficult airway management with intubations and bronchoscopy, hands-on EVD management, placement of intracranial pressure monitors, lumbar drains, central lines, and arterial lines. Our faculty members are actively involved in clinical/translational research, offering effective mentorship for fellows in project development and completion. Additionally, we offer a multitude of opportunities to become involved in medical education for medical students as well asour large neurology residency currently consisting of 39 residents. neurology, anesthesiology, child neurology, emergency medicine, general surgery, internal medicine, neurosurgery or a previousfellowship in critical care
