The Business Systems Analyst also provides complex technical business support to clients that utilize small/ midsize/enterprise level systems.**Depth & Scope:*** Communicates with programmers to ensure understanding of business processes and requirements of the users* Works with programmers to ensure understanding of business processes and requirements of the processes to ensure that the delivered system matches the specified features and functions* Participates in the assessment of available technologies recommending innovative and cost -effective solutions* Maps current business processes to new systems and participate in the transition to the new solution* Determines interface requirements for effective system transition* Develops detailed specification documents that include features and functions of the new system* Develops test plans and test case scenarios to guarantee the new system design meets business requirements* Implements assigned new system installations, upgrade and conversions* Documents selected system parameters, file layouts and application design layouts* Tracks open issues and resolution of issues**Education & Experience:*** Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate* 5+ years relevant experience* Advanced communications, problem-solving and decision making skills* Experience in moderate scale corporate systems analysis* Ability to work with systems users or potential users to develop system specifications and requirements, applying business systems knowledge to ensure relevant areas of research are addressed* Ability to translate user requirements into technical specifications with limited guidance**Preferred Qualifications:*** 5+ years of advanced experience with MS Excel utilizing Pivot Tables, XLookup, etc.* 2+ years of experience and demonstrated proficiency with PowerBI to create reports, metrics and dashboards in work environment.* 2+ years experience utilizing Ariba in conjunction with vendor management duties.* 1+ years of experience utilizing SharePoint* 1+ year of experience with PowerPoint to create documents for presentations* 1+ year of experience of using Jira / JTMF* Working knowledge of Tableau* Previous Vendor Management experience a plus* PMP / Agile Cert a plus**Physical Requirements:**Never: 0%; Occasional: 1-33%; Frequent: 34-66%; Continuous: 67-100%* Domestic Travel – Occasional* International Travel – Never* Performing sedentary work – Continuous* Performing multiple tasks – Continuous* Operating standard office equipment - Continuous* Responding quickly to sounds – Occasional* Sitting – Continuous* Standing – Occasional* Walking – Occasional* Moving safely in confined spaces – Occasional* Lifting/Carrying (under 25 lbs.) – Occasional* Lifting/Carrying (over 25 lbs.) – Never* Squatting – Occasional* Bending – Occasional* Kneeling – Never* Crawling – Never* Climbing – Never* Reaching overhead – Never* Reaching forward – Occasional* Pushing – Never* Pulling – Never* Twisting – Never* Concentrating for long periods of time – Continuous* Applying common sense to deal with problems involving standardized situations – Continuous* Reading, writing and comprehending instructions – Continuous* Adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing – ContinuousThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
