Role As a Principal Solution Architect, AI / Cloudflare Developer Platform and a member of the sales team, you will help customers understand the technical details and business value of the Cloudflare AI / Developer Platform and demonstrate the path and advantages of building applications with our products. You will serve as the Regional Lead for Cloudflare AI / Developer Platform sales, advise on programs to grow Developer revenue, and collaborate with technical sales teams to design solutions, develop proof of concept demonstrations, and showcase capabilities to meet customer needs.
You will act as a trusted technical advisor to guide clients, partners, and teams on product capabilities, positioning, and competitive intelligence. You will form feedback loops with product, product marketing, and technical pre-sales to refine our offerings. The ideal candidate has a consultative mindset, strong selling skills, and deep understanding of modern Web Technologies, Cloud Architecture, and distributed serverless platforms. You should be curious and capable of solving problems and designing efficient solutions for client needs.
Responsibilities
Partner with the sales organization to drive revenue, new customers, and pipeline for AI and Developer Platform solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product management, sales, marketing) to drive developer platform revenue and customer adoption.
Present to strategic customers as an expert on Developer Platform solutions.
Develop programs to drive overall sales and pipeline strategy for the Cloudflare Developer Platform with regional and country sales leaders.
Align Director and C-Level perceived business and technical value with Cloudflare developer solutions.
Prepare and deliver regular business reviews to the management team highlighting progress and challenges to closing deals.
Generate a succinct feedback loop with cross-functional teams to deliver relevant Developer content, use cases, customer stories, and data-driven value propositions.
In order to be successful, you will become a thought leader, trusted advisor, and spokesperson for the Cloudflare AI and Developer platform.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience selling or supporting the technical sales of cloud computing and storage, full-stack engineering, or cloud development.
Technical expertise in cloud infrastructure, web technologies, and AI/ML as a solutions engineer, entrepreneur, or solution architect.
Knowledge and experience of systems design; ability to explain design choices and determine compute, data, and security components for applications.
In-depth knowledge of at least one major public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.).
Understanding of distributed, full-stack applications (frontend, backend, databases, services); ideally serverless.
Strong understanding of developer workflows (branching, release, versioning, CI/CD, integrations).
Act as an AI and Developer product expert, educating internal teams and external stakeholders on Cloudflare Developer platform.
Knowledge of key market players/competitors in cloud computing, AI, and storage.
Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time.
Other desirable skills
Experience building on Cloudflare Workers.
AWS Solutions Architect or GCP Cloud Architect certifications.
Prioritize and manage product roadmap with strategic trade-offs to meet customer needs.
Participate in product launches, including messaging and positioning with marketing and sales.
Stay current with industry trends to inform product strategy and roadmap.
Compensation and Equity Compensation : Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location.
For San Francisco Based hires: Estimated annual salary of 270,000 – 330,000.
Equity : This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare’s equity plan.
