About the position:
The purpose of this position is to provide professional support services for Army Capability Managers (ACMs) and the Experimentation and Analysis Directorate (CEAD) at the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE), Fort Novosel, Alabama.
Responsibilities:
Conduct analysis of Aviation organizations to support formation-based assessments.
Conduct analysis of Aviation organizations for simulation activities.
Support annual capabilities needs assessments through analysis of Aviation organizations.
Tailor methodologies and conduct analyses to examine Aviation tasks, conditions, standards, and gaps across formations.
Assist in revising or rewriting JCIDS, supporting, and emerging requirements documents.
Review manned/unmanned platform programs and their current requirements documents.
Assess the validity of current capabilities in the context of Large Scale Combat Operations.
Evaluate the systems' ability to operate effectively in a Large-Scale Combat environment.
Qualifications:
At least 15 years of Army Aviation operations experience, including planning, training, and execution.
Instructor pilot/operator qualification in manned/unmanned aircraft.
Master Aviator or Master Aircrew rating for UAS.
Operational experience in tactical Army aviation formations executing UAS operations.
Experience in combat developments.
Experience in planning and conducting DOTMLPF-P assessments and joint working groups.
Ability to review and edit products to ensure they meet graduate-level writing standards.
TS/SCI clearance required within 90 days.
Experience with modeling and simulation efforts for vertical lift and fixed-wing aircraft.
Experience with JCIDS technical writing.
Ability to independently produce comprehensive documents such as white papers and requirements documents based on broad guidance.
Experience managing small to large organizations (35 to 400+ personnel) is preferred.
Recent experience in experiments, concept development, and scenario creation is desirable.
Participation in source selection committees is a plus.
Experience in system testing and fielding is highly valued.
Military or civilian training on Army operations.
Experience training Army Aviation formations at various command levels in high OPTEMPO, combat environments.
Operational deployment experience is preferred.
Participation in Army war games like Unified Quest or Challenge is a plus.
Additional relevant courses from DAU or equivalent, such as JCIDS, Requirements Management, and Capabilities Based Assessment, are desirable.
