Strong reconciliation skills required for validation of ceded payable and assumed recoverable/payable. Provides necessary support for monthly close process, manage assigned accounts, special projects as assigned.**Responsibilities/Essential Functions:*** Calculate and validate ceded reinsurance premiums in reinsurance system.* Prepare monthly and quarterly bordereaux to report ceded premiums and losses to reinsurers.* Review reinsurer premium invoices and validate amounts due.* Manages cash and research discrepancies.* Resolves payment discrepancies with underwriters and reinsurers.* Process ceded payments and apply cash receipts in reinsurance as needed.* Manage assumed book of business, including entry into the reinsurance system, and cash management* Liaise with other Reinsurance Accounting team members as well as members as members of the Underwriting and Claims departments.**Position Requirements*** Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.* 5-7 years of related insurance and reinsurance experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.* Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.* Strong attention to detail and able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
