Overview We are seeking an experienced, safety-focused

Quarry Manager

to lead operations at our limestone mine in Mill Creek, Oklahoma. This full-time leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily mining operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, managing site personnel, and optimizing production while maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental stewardship.

Key Responsibilities Mine Operations & Production

Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily quarrying activities, including stripping, drilling, blasting, hauling, and crushing operations.

Ensure production targets are met while maximizing efficiency and minimizing waste.

Monitor and manage raw material inventories to ensure consistent supply to plant operations.

Develop and execute Capex plan for maintenance and improvement

Leadership & Workforce Management

Supervise and develop a team of equipment operators, maintenance staff, and laborers.

Provide clear direction, training, and performance feedback to quarry personnel.

Attract and retain talent to ensure proper staffing and scheduling to support operational demands.

Safety & Compliance

Enforce all MSHA, OSHA, and company safety regulations and policies.

Conduct regular safety meetings, site inspections, and hazard assessments.

Maintain detailed records for safety, environmental, and maintenance compliance.

Equipment & Site Maintenance

Oversee the operation and maintenance of all quarry equipment, including crushers, loaders, haul trucks, and conveyors.

Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules and troubleshoot mechanical issues in partnership with maintenance teams.

Ensure site cleanliness, road maintenance, and general organization of the quarry.

Reporting & Budgeting

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.

Assist in budget development and cost control for quarry operations.

Monitor fuel, explosive, and equipment usage for efficiency and cost tracking.

Schedule

8+ hour shifts

Monday to Friday

Weekends and after-hours work as required for production or emergency response

Compensation

Competitive salary, commensurate with experience ($80k-$110k per year)

Full-time, exempt position

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or related field a plus

5+ years of quarry or mining operations experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or management role

Strong understanding of MSHA regulations and mining safety practices

Experience operating and maintaining heavy equipment is a plus

Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills

Location Requirements Must be able to reliably commute to or plan to relocate to Mill Creek, OK prior to starting work. Relocation package offered.
