Job Duties:
Follows instructions given by the crew leader and landscape manager. Properly and safely operates equipment. Seeks to master the basic skills of landscape installation. Completes assigned tasks efficiently, thoroughly, and per company product standards. Assists clients with product questions and purchases. Loads materials into vehicles using skid loader, front loader, forklift. Provides excellent customer service to Sun Valley crews and supply yard clients. Maintains supply yard facility. Performs services on teams for lawn care, mowing, and landscape maintenance. Operates a variety of equipment and tools including lawn mowers, trimmers, fertilizer carts, blowers, bed edgers, dump trailers, chainsaws, and hedge trimmers. Performs professional mowing services to the highest quality standards. Meets or beats man hour goals for each project. Ensures proper safety practices are being met. Keeps an organized job site, truck, and professional appearance at all times. Reports on job progress and results. Performs enhancement activities such as mulch applications, plantings, topsoil application, soil amendment, river rock install, and tree planting. Thoroughly understands all aspects of irrigation. Operates turn-on, turn-off, maintenance, and repairs for irrigation clients. Performs other duties within the maintenance and landscape divisions: lawn mowing, fertilizing, and more. Opens and closes cash register. Creates sales transactions using point of sales. Answers phones as needed. Exceeds client expectations in person and over the phone. Fields questions about product and measurements. Greets all clients with a smile and warmth. Processes, posts, and reconciles transactions in receivables and payables. Performs daily & weekly reconciliation of sales, bank, payments, and credit card transactions. Issues weekly invoices and monthly statements, collecting payments from clients. Summary:
The irrigation technician is a highly detailed and experienced industry professional who is proficient in all aspects of irrigation systems. The candidate must be thoroughly familiar with wiring controllers and valves, pressure testing, trenching, and other related tasks.
